Tuesday proved to be another night where multichannels made all the difference.

Despite coming third in primary channels, Seven finished first in network share, thanks largely to 7mate and 7TWO and shows such as Outback Truckers. Meanwhile Seven News topped the night, again helping to make up for a negligible audience for Kiss Bang Love.

MasterChef Australia won at 7:30pm ahead of House Rules and an improved 20 to One. The TEN series also topped the demos. NCIS scored its best numbers in a year.

Nine’s Britain’s Got Talent managed its highest audience this year, helping Nine to win primary channel share.

But Seven network won the night with 27.4% then Nine 25.9%, TEN 23.6%, ABC 15.7% and SBS 7.4%.

Seven News was #1 with 1.2m / 1.11m for Seven then House Rules (917,000), Home and Away (845,000), The Chase (726,000 / 430,000) and World’s Most Extreme (424,000). Kiss Bang Love drew just 194,000.

Nine News (1.11m / 1.05m) was best for Nine then A Current Affair (899,000), 20 to One (798,000), Britain’s Got Talent (768,000) and Hot Seat (622,000). 2 Broke Girls was 340,000 / 231,000.

On SBS it was Great Continental Railway Journeys (343,000), Insight (292,000), Dateline (182,000) and SBS World News (177,000).
